At its core ISIS depends on Islam. Even the foreigners recruited into ISIS have all been Muslims or converted to Islam. It is easy to convince people to commit every form of atrocity if they believe that what they do is pleasing to God and they are committing these atrocities against "unbelievers".

We have seen this. During WW-II the Japanese military was totally brainwashed to believe that they were superior and all other races were inferior if not subhuman and that what they did would be the will of their emperor who was a god. During the war Japanese soldiers would behead prisoners, strap bombs or grenades to themselves to kill allied soldiers and civilians in suicide attacks, rape and torture civilians and commit all manner of cruel acts against the "inferiors". The allies found that there was no negotiation or surrender possible for these fanatics and the only means of dealing with them was to kill them by whatever means necessary. We need to do the same with ISIS.

The common thread that hold these terrorists together is Islam and that cancer is already world wide. This war will be brutal and there will be no war zone or fronts but be fought in our homeland as well as in other countries. No place on earth will be safe as long as Islam exists in that area.

Here's 'the mind' - the motivation of the ISIS fighter: Killing and rape.

ISIS fighters are rejects. Islam allows one man to have four wives... that leaves 75% of men with no family, no women, no children, no future.

The 'religion' gives the rejects one chance...kill the men of your enemy and keep the captured women and children. Kill the husbands, fathers, and sons of 'the enemy' and the women are 'belongings'... Powerful incentives - and built into the 'religion'. One more horror of Islam.
