There is nothing to debate, unless the invitation was used as a ruse to get them into a small area, where you could call in some 155s.
my first thought was this
Having somebody say out loud the doctrine of abrogation which wipes out all the “peaceful” quotes that this scholar would bring up in debate would be instructive to the whole world.
Prince Charles once brought together “moderate Muslims” to try to get them to condemn the idea of killing infidels and apostates. Not one would do so. He should have learned something that day, but he didn’t.
Ex-Muslims say that the quickest way to get people out of Islam is to have them actually read the Muslim writings. When people know what it means they reject it. The reason Islam continues to exist is because a lot of Muslims are cultural Muslims only. They pray, fast, and tithe like they’re told to and that’s the extent of it. I think people may be afraid to mention what Islam really is because they fear it would “radicalize” those who have followed the “peaceful” Mohammad, not realizing it is abrogated by the violent terrorist Mohammad. Whatever was said last is what stands, when earlier and later statements conflict.
