Liberals have a long and unbroken record of being wrong about virtually everything they choose to lead.
Colorado is currently infested with liberals, and sooner or later we’ll have to do with them as we will have to do with Muslims.
The Emperor Palpatine approach comes to mind.

The problem is that buying pot is less expensive on the streets where people don’t have to pay taxes or fees.
Stupid stoners and idiot pro-dope losertarians are to blame here. But either way - black market (cheaper) or taxed and legal (expensive) - the winners are the drug cartels.

How much is being saved on police not busting down people’s doors, shooting their dogs & clogging the courts with ticky-tack marijuana violations that bring in court fines & fees?

Surprise, surprise. Everyone should have seen this coming. With the banks not accepting dope money because of federal banking laws, most pot revenues are held in cash by the sellers.

It's not about "revenue generation" of all things.
The fight is about reducing the size and influence of the government in all our lives.
Are less people having their doors kicked in? Are less people having their assets forfeited? Are we housing less non-violent people in prison? Can we reduce the government's ability to poke into people's bank accounts or paychecks?
That's how I'll judge the success of changes in law. Does it shrink and neuter the government and the lackeys who worship it's power?
Revenue generation?! Who cares?!

Perhaps cops will shake down smokers anyways. Show us your official weed tax stamp citizen. No tax stamp ? Oh, we have a problem.

I think the government has finally found a way to get people to stop smoking pot. Legalize it and subject it to government regulation and tax.
