An Islamic militant group released a video on Tuesday showing the second beheading of an American hostage in two weeks and blamed President Obama for the killing. The video raised the pressure on the president to order military strikes on the group in its sanctuary in Syria.
The hostage, Steven J. Sotloff, is shown in the video kneeling like the previous victim, James Foley, while a masked figure stands above, wielding a knife. Mr. Sotloff addresses the camera and describes himself as “paying the price” for Mr. Obama’s decision to strike the group, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, in northern Iraq.
The apparent murder of Mr. Sotloff, 31, came despite televised pleas from his mother to the leader of ISIS seeking mercy for her son, a freelance journalist who was captured in northern Syria a year ago. Although the administration said it had not yet authenticated the video, members of Mr. Sotloff’s family issued a statement saying they believed he had been killed.
The videotaped beheadings and threats by ISIS, which have followed its lightning conquest of broad areas of Syria and Iraq, have transformed the group into one of the most urgent threats facing a president who is also wrestling with crises from Ukraine to Gaza.
The killing raises difficult questions for Mr. Obama, who last Friday said he had not yet formulated a strategy for using military force against the militants in Syria....

The same media so upset over two journalists has been carefully avoiding reporting on the thousands of Christians beheaded, crucified, raped to death, and tortured to death, by the same scum for several years now but two journalists is worthy of headline treatment.
I'm sorry, I can't get excited about journalists who go there of their own accord. The faithful Christians who live there had no choice but they've been slaughtered by the thousands in Syria, Iraq, and Nigeria, not to mention the lesser numbers that have been slaughtered in Libya, Tripoli, Tunisia, and even Egypt.
All hail Caliph Obama who champions, facilitates, and organizes communities for murderous, Satanic, Islamic animals everywhere.

If they don’t like those airstrikes, wait till they get some in Syria. Syria was a safe haven under Assad. He allowed al Qaeda to use his country to transit from and to train in to kill Americans. Now, he’s had a tacit understanding with ISIS that they could kill his rivals, which they’ve done. But they grew too fast and are now a threat to him, too, in a delightful chickens have come home irony. But we must strike and destroy them for our own reasons.
Once Obama bombs Syria, he will have bombed more Arab and Moslem countries than any US President in our history. He is the fourth US President in a row to bomb Iraq. So what this means to me is that the Left’s narrative that only US presidents in bed with Halliburton and Brown and Root bomb Iraq is bogus. Even Left Wing, obsessive golf-playing, academic dithering mercurial ones do too.
I pray I would have the faith to say: "kill me if you are, I will not cower for you. May the Lord Jesus Christ forgive you and have mercy on you."
