It's becoming more and more common to see seats that don't recline. I've encountered this on quite a few Delta flights in recent months. Here's an example of an airline that is removing the option altogether.

That’s the simple solution to all this. Non reclining seats. Can always buy up to economy plus or first class if you want more leg room.
