I have been into this story for several years and believe it does describe some of the communist background of Obama. However. There is some kind of political disconnect now that Putin no longer trusts the USA as to being free of international i.e. European banking interests. These are the same interests that brought down the last Czar. There is so much behind the stage curtain.
Two observations. First, at the head of a totalitarian system, as they said in the movie Highlander, "There can be only one." One caliph, one head of the worldwide Communist Internationale, etc. So rivalries can exist, and be intense among leaders of nominally similar persuasion.
Putin may be KGB, but he may not be very communist. Sometimes movements spread out and become more vociferous and virulent at the periphery than they are at the core. Russia is well-controlled by the government, but I doubt that those on top are in the grip of "religious" Communism. It's just the vehicle of power.
Obama may be closer to a true believe than Putin is.
