Today in turnabout: A Florida man who became an Internet villain after his quest to shut down a childs lemonade stand went viral is now under investigation for potentially running an unlicensed home business.
Doug Wilkey, 61, has contacted city officials in Dunedin at least four times in the past two years in an attempt to get law enforcement to shut down the lemonade stand operated by his young neighbor, T.J. Guerrero. Wilkeys complaint, the Tampa Bay Times reported last weekend, is that the lemonade stand is an illegal business that causes excessive traffic, noise, trash, illegal parking and other problems that reduce his property values.
CNN said the city sent a community police officer to look into the complaints, which came only from Wilkey. But after speaking to neighbors, the city concluded that the stand run by Guerrero, who is 12, wasnt really an issue.
Well. The city of Dunedins planning director is finally going to give a robust response to Wilkeys complaints except probably not in the way hed hoped, the Tampa newspaper reported in a follow-up story.
(Wilkeys) not following the rules either, or doesnt seem to be, planning director Greg Rice told the Times.

I am not trying to start a generational war here when I comment, but WHY (or is it just me) does it seem that Baby Boomer generation old men seem to be some of the crankiest, and childish people in our nation?

Uh, what is AFP?
Because maybe they see this country going to $h!t and a handbag? Mind you a country founded on great constitution and they see it getting torn to shreds? Or maybe they are afraid that all their promises when they worked their derrieres off to keep the country going have been broken? Just a few ejumucated guesses here.
They guy is in the wrong though. Heck I even had a lemonade stand but it never made money because I drank all of the product and our street was off in some out of the way area that no one ever came down unless they were a mailman or a school bus or going to their own home.
Great bowling alley at the top of the street though.
