President Putin has called for talks to discuss "statehood" for eastern Ukraine, Russian media report.
He said the issue needed to be discussed to ensure the interests of local people "are definitely upheld".
His comments came after the EU gave Russian a one-week ultimatum to reverse course in Ukraine or face sanctions.

The same applies today, we in the west, including NATO, are not willing to risk nuclear war to help the Eastern Europeans with their Russian problems. They are on their own and that is how it should be. They can fight their own small insignificant wars. The pictures you to promote war in Ukraine does not change the equation.
As for helping Iran and North Korea, that is more fantasy than reality. Iran will take help from whoever they can get it from, It is obfuscatory to claim that Russian enriched uranium supports Iran's weapons programs. Russia does the enriching in that case not Iran and the fuel can be easily tracked. The spent fuel is a different story and could be a problem if Russia does not retrieve it.
"This is how it should be" has resulted in millions of deaths and generations of people living under tyranny. This is stupidity. The main target of Russia and China is not Europe, but the United States. Their aggression in their local areas is just part of their overall war against Western values such as Freedom. You do not understand the anti-Western ideology of the Communists and Tyrants who face us. It will not stop with Ukraine, and then Estonia, and then Poland.

Who said anything about Russian enriched Uranium? The issue is Nuclear technology and political cover in the UN allowing Iran time to get the bomb.

Of course the US is under attack, but we're not going to stop those attacks by defending Ukraine. The reason we get attacked is our size and strength to tip the balance in the various European wars. Both European and Russian elites agree on that. Now they have largely succeeded in neutering American capitalism and the military, so we are out of the picture. We can barely help ourselves against the Islamists and the Chinese.
The weaklings and cowards here are no different than Obama, no answers, no action, no honor, no loyalty. It makes no difference to them a US President promised Ukraine US protection when they gave up their nukes. Iran needs political cover in the UN? The UN is not helpful to US interests any way. They will gain their nuclear weapon capability by growing it like Pakistan. A nuclear power program doesn't change the situation as long as the nuclear fuel is supplied and the spent fuel is retrieved. All you are doing is conflating the two.
War with Russia is not going to save America from socialism, restore American values or strengthen America in any way. Peace comes from strength, not Cold War rhetoric.

Putin invaded Georgia and Ukraine precisely because they are allies of the west. Putin is at war with western civilization. His evil tyranny must be destroyed. Russia must be smashed to pieces just like the Soviet Union was.

Ukraine has Greek Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and so on and so forth. They are also Democracies, with many competing parties, not dictatorships. It was because of Yanukovych beating and torturing protestors to begin with, which had never occurred before, and his attempt to establish Russian style "democracy," that Ukraine rose up to begin with.

The entire Maidan was predicated on the notion of removing Russian influence in Ukraine (i.e. corruption) and practicing classic western liberalism. They have a history of being butchered by the Soviets and a strong National spirit.

I believe it's a stretch to ascribe some "alliance" between those two countries and any Western Country.
When the Bear roared, they called and asked for help. But there's certainly no treaty between either of them and any Western Country...at least that I am aware of.
