I think the whole idea that pork is kryptonite to Muslims is a myth. However I did know a Southern Baptist teenager who forced himself to vomit after he was maliciously fed a slice of rum cake.
It depends upon the particular sub-culture. Some cultures view pork like Americans would view the idea of eating rat meat. In others, it's just religiously forbidden.
Someone engaged in jihad operations, however, is free of ALL religious prohibitions. He is guaranteed entrance into heaven if he dies in jihad. So he will eat pork, drink beer, ESPECIALLY if it helps to maintain his "cover".
