I was born and raised in Michigan. The motto was “if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes, it'll change”. Or my favorite:

Michigan has four seasons:

Early winter,

Mid winter,

Late winter,

And construction season, to repair all of the frost damage. Oh? And did I forget to mention the mosquitoes during construction season. Damn things are near the size of hummingbirds.
