I find it baffling that people are still willing to put on a uniform and get sent to some sh!t-hole halfway around the world to fight for a government that treats them so badly when they come back.

Our on-again, off-again war in Afghanistan was not fought for me. In recent years, the fighting was continued to make Obama look as if he was doing something in the foreign-policy arena, as if he had a "strategy" to go with his charisma. And to provide cover for the only real purpose the military is allowed to serve anymore: social engineering. (Coming soon: transgender troops!)
