..........how could this Marxist-leftist, opportunist, carpet-bagger, ambidextrous pay check grabbing deadbeat serve 18 years in the Senate and not be a resident of the state she ostensibly is representing? Hell, I think I will go represent Montana! I like that state but I would rather LIVE in Texas!

What were here previous opponents thinking?

Thanks to the 17th Amendment, we have “at large” senators who fight for themselves and their party, not their states.

Landrieu, Lugar, Roberts do not represent the exceptional mindset, but rather the rule. Perhaps worse, they are too pompous to make it appear they actually have roots in the province they supposedly inhabit.

Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas has not lived in that state for more than a gazillion years. I guess senator thunder thighs thinks that if a Republican like Pat Roberts can get away with it so can she.
