Y. pestis (plague) is kind of a fragile bug that poses significant challenges in developing a practical airborne dispersion weapon. In culture, it lives in kind of a polysaccharide slime micro environment that it creates for itself. In WWII the Japanese reportedly used vectors (infected fleas) to disseminate it.
B. anthracis (anthrax) on the other hand is a very durable bug. It’s natural life cycle involves sporulating and lying dormant for years, waiting for something to infect. The problem for the terrorist weaponeer though is that it is not communicable from person to person.
Now that you mentioned it, he really did look awful.
One recent press conference (last few months) he had one eye shut and the other barely open. No inquiries from the press. It is like the emperor is naked, and no one will mention it.

Also, releasing plague, if it did spread, might do more damage in the Muslim world, with their poor sanitary conditions, than it would in the West.
I honestly believe these sorts of reports are designed to keep the American people in a constant state of fear and insecurity in an effort to usher in more controls on our freedom.
Rarely do these sorts of things have any validity.
Think about it: Ozone hole, acid rain, global cooling (new ice age in the 70’s), global warming, climate change, El nino, La nina, Fracking causing earthquakes, solar flares knocking out power grid, Swine flu, Avian flu, HIV, Hana virus, suitcase nukes, war on terror, war on drugs..on and on.
Constantly throwing one crisis after another. If folks experience a higher level of anxiety, chances are the liberal socialist crowd can push through regulation and dampen the torch of freedom.

I don’t think flyover country, where most conservatives live, is the Islamic target - they will attack dense cities. Obama doesn’t even have the loyalty to his base to protect them when they are the ones in danger. Obama is pathetic. Conservatives are the ones who mind when terrorists murder urban Americans. Conservatives are the ones who mind when abortionists murder black Americans. The far left has better PR, but we are the ones on the side of the most loyal leftist voters.
