Don’t shut out black residents from clean energy revolution
Sacramento Bee ^ | Aug. 27, 2014 | Aubry Stone

I’m very troubled by the obvious slight the renewable energy industry – in particular solar – is giving African Americans in Southern California and around the state.

Anybody who doesn’t have to pay for that overpriced load of bull crap may count themselves fortunate.

In exchange for being shut out of the fake green revolution, perhaps Blacks can busy themselves working on the fake War on Women.

Can’t imagine why they’d want to be burdened with the hoax/boondoggle, but if they want it, as far as I’m concerned they can have the whole damn thing. Oh wait, is that waycisssss of me?

“in particular solar......”

But if they are black aren't they absorbing more solar energy than whites?

We live in a fairly affluent part of town with just me and my husband in a 1, 700 square foot house. Our electric bill averages about $150 a month. We had an aassessment done to see if solar panels made sense. The experts said no. They said very big houses with heavy usage were better candidates for the panels. I believe the author of the story should take a look at Compton. Most single family homes there are very small by modern standards. I’m pretty sure that most homeowners are like my husband and me. Solar panels don’t make sense. Not because they are being discriminated against. But simply because it doesn’t make financial sense.

Add solar panels to my “gibsmedat.”

Wait a couple years until the roof caves in; then residents can bask in free, unfiltered, direct solar power.

"Don’t shut out black residents from clean energy revolution"

TRANSLATION:

Give some of Obama's Green Energy free government money to blacks.
Why should the rich whites who financed Obama's election campaigns get it all?
The brothas and sistas can open up multi-million dollar companies that don't make anything and then go broke too.

I worked in the solar industry and is would fall close to flat without gov subsidies. Every company I came into contact with was ill run with the people at the top giving themselves huge salaries, like mid six figures, with the sole objective of taking the company public and bailing. One even said they had a 25 year guarantee. You can get that on a toaster and they are a mature technology to say the least. In real life that would be impossible especially when they were made oversees and many didn’t even work out of the box. There was an advertisement on the radio the other morning claiming that with tax breaks and rebates it wouldn’t cost a thing. It’s costing someone.

They aren’t being shut out, they are being asked to pay higher energy prices along with everyone else.

Happily black Californians will be able to pay high rates, keep their cars parked and shiver in the dark just like white people.

Put solar panels on an Amish house and two things would happen: 1) The Amish brother would get fried trying to sell
it and 2) The Amish family of the ‘he was such a good boy’ brother would sue the installer and maker of the panels.

Really? You put in cost saving measures where they save THE MOST money. I would think there is much larger energy consumption in areas with larger homes and businesses.

At least that is what they taught me in business school. Of course that was before everything became a racist conspiracy.
