A: Yes. Before his two-week trip to Martha’s Vineyard in August, Obama’s count was 125 full or partial days and Bush’s total at the same point in his presidency was 407.

The vacation also occurred during the funeral of Maj. Gen. Harold J. Greene, the only general officer killed in Afghanistan.
Obama faced criticism for being on vacation during these times, but those types of complaints are nothing new — either to Obama or presidents in general.
Readers may recall the criticism directed at Bush for the August weeks spent at his ranch in Crawford, Texas. Others may remember Democrats chastising President Dwight Eisenhower for spending time on the golf course.
We last dealt with the who-took-more-vacation question in January 2010, at which point Obama had spent 26 days on “vacation” during his first year in office, fewer than the first year totals for Presidents Bush, George H.W. Oh SURE- I distinctly remember 64 years ago when democrats “chastised” General Dwight D Eisenhower for playing too much golf, after he led Allied Forces to Victory in WW2 and then reluctantly stepped up to lead the reconstruction of the US economy into peacetime, while facing down Khrushchev

The ranch was Bush’s HOME and it still is. Imagine, 51 visits home - in 8 years. How many has Pelosi made?

Bush was clearly working at times that his detractors claim he was on vacation.
Bush went to his ranch. If the Obamas vacationed at their Chicago home I wouldn’t care. But to continually globe trot like wealthy jet setters with an entourage on the taxpayers’ dime? NO.
Seriously — the Bushes just went home for a few days, whereas the Obamas go on true vacations. Huge difference in definition. Has Obama ever gone to his house in Chicago for a few days of R&R?
The media are probably playing games with the term “vacation.” If Bush was at Crawford spending much of his time on official business, it is “vacation.” If Obama is staying at the White House, but playing golf or hosting parties, it is “work.”
Makes you laugh when you recall how the media, and members of the Democrat party were all in a tither when Bush didn’t immediately return to Washington on 9/11.
He comes to Chicago for Fund Raisers. When he does, O’Hare is closed down for a bit (until Air Force 1 is in a secure location, understandably). Then he takes Marine 1 to fly him wherever in Chicago. Once in a while Marine 1 will fly over my house because he, in his great wisdom, buzzes Rahm Emanuel’s house which is about 2 blocks south of me.
Obama doesn't read newspapers. He watches TV to find out what's going on.

Even the MSM have conceded that Obama has spent way more time attending fundraisers than any previous president.
It's like with impeachment or Ferguson. It's a distraction from their own failures and it's where they think they can win a few points that they've lost on other issues.
Any count like this is bogus because Obama and Moochie thinly disguise vacations as official business so they can stick taxpayers with the tab.
