The AP is reporting that the Russians are saying these troops are “on leave” and technically are fighting in Ukraine as volunteers.

Odd, I know of no other military that let troops take tanks, APCs, artillery pieces, their personal weapons, ammunition, etc with them “on leave.”

It's a morbidly funny argument, that the Russian troops are spending their vacations fighting with pro-Russian separatists. The US, after all, has the problem with US citizens fighting for ISIS, killing and being killed.

ISIS is a horrific threat. The civilized world has to realize that it can no longer expend resources to assist Kiev in attacking its own citizens.
