They are not burying them...they are being put on a pyre and incinerated. IMHO, the BEST way to get rid of an infectious body. Army burial plans for massive causualties are written on how to dispose of LOTS of bodies. Bulldozers, large fans, a pit, and a hot bed of ashes to guarantee 100% inceneration. I’ll try to find the FM.....saw it in our mortuary affairs MOS library once.

I remember seeing those plans years ago.

Very efficient set up for the disposal of thousands for each pit.
