is Nigel ok with not being the first UKIP MP?
ok...read the story now.
He did the very honorable thing by quitting parliament. But I’m inclined to think it would have been better just to switch parties. Of course if he WINS the by election, then....that’s a whole nother ball game....
“More to follow.”
I hope that means more people to follow him into UKIP.
” I have been a member of the Conservative Party for all my adult life. It’s full of wonderful people who want the best for Britain.”
Is it REALLY “full of wonderful people who want the best for Britain.”?
Or perhaps is it full of people that simply don’t care about the long term effects of the policies they support - or are unable to comprehend that Britain, in the not-so-far future (as in 2 decades), like most of Western Europe, will have to make a very difficult choice due to what his (former) party’s doing? The choice being massive deportation of people, including citizens (without British heritage), or, more likely, civil war followed by genocide of the losing side (which could be either side)...or submission to an ISIS-like government.
I doubt many Brits (and other Europeans) have figured it out yet, but the BEST CHANCE they have to avoid those outcomes rests in parties like UKIP.
They had another party switcher for a few months.
Red Ed’s one step closer to Number 10 next May.
Good for him. He should be praised for the courage of his convictions, which is in short supply in many places, but I expect other opinions will be voiced about him.
