The day after Mitt Romney opened the door to another possible presidential run, a new poll shows he has a huge lead among likely 2016 Iowa Republican caucus voters.

According to a USA Today/Suffolk University poll released Wednesday, 35 percent of likely GOP caucus voters would vote for the 2012 GOP nominee in 2016. When Romney’s name was added to the pool, no other candidate received double-digit votes.

Conservatives running on the Republican ticket is a ticket to nowhere’s-ville.

Yup. Well said, Rita.

One cool thing about Romney winning the nomination is that he *won’t*, not without the Mississippi style corruption with the Leftist crossover vote, and the Leftist RINO party vote, in the open primary states.

Remember Mississippi. Won’t that make a guy proud? /s

Rita, I confess that I was so angry with Perry being indicted by the clown car prosecutor of the infamous Travis County, that I was actually regarding Perry as a possible fall back candidate. Your post changes my mind. Gardasil/Mexican Superhighway/Haley Boss Hogg Barbour. Any one of those three is a disqualification.

REMEMBER MISSISSIPPI!

VIVA CRISTO REY!

May God bless you and yours!

Oh, hey, I get it. I wanna buy a Perry, “WANTED”, tee shirt to wear, and I’m for Cruz at this early moment! I get it! The best tee says, “WANTED”...”FOR PRESIDENT, 2015”.

Clever, huh?

Oh for God’s sake guys, quit putting “Romney” on me.

ANY American would be 1000 times better than the current filth we have in the White House...Any given American.

Romney just happened to be the last alternative candidate.

Romney's shaping up to be the one. WE Freepers might as well face up to that fact. No other Republican has emerged as a serious contender and only Romney has the organization and money behind him at this point in time.

Maybe a dark horse will yet emerge but as we slip into autumn, the sand is running out in the hourglass for all other contenders.

If you voted for Romney, he's yours! And vice versa. No one can put Romney OR Obozo on me. I did not vote for either disaster.

Would the Arkansas Medusa be 1000 times better? Fauxcahontas??? Deval Patrick??? Danell Malloy???? Anthony Cuomo??? Crispy Creme Christie??? Schmuckie Chewmer??? BaahBaah Boxer???? Babs Bulldyke Mikulski???? Americans all!

Bill Buckley used to say that he would prefer to be governed by 100 people whose names would be chosen at random from the Boston phone book than by the members of the US Senate.

I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.

Oh good, then the end of the GOP is nigh because the Massachusetts Mittwit won't be elected in 2016 either. In fact, the number of totally fed up conservatives grows daily. The GOP can start to nominate candidates worthy of conservative votes or it can die and go straight to hell. No more crawling on our knees to vote for any old ruling class POS served up by Wall Street and K Street. They can buy nominations but they can't buy our votes.

The sand in the hourglass of Republican ideological treachery is running out and a good thing too. FUMR!

REMEMBER MISSISSIPPI!

VIVA CRISTO REY!

That works too! Buckley had various formulations for this essential idea. I heard the version I cited when he debated Joe Duffey at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Why buy when for a few dollars more you can have them printed at a t-shirt shop and make some money?

I did not vote for either disaster.

Nor did you vote against Obama, therefore, you are not in the fight.

Bill Buckley used to say....

He also said: "Vote for the most conservative candidate...that can win."

Breaks away from who? No one else has seriously even hinted at a run.

Pre-premature and utterly meaningless.

SamAdams7, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Methinks the enemy wishes to sow the seeds of acrimony amongst already acrimonious Conservatives and tea party.

Why not....they fall for it every time.

What’s this “WE Freepers” business?

What? Maybe six RINO, lefty Freepers for Romney still standing?

The rest already “emerged” right outta here.

Something about the Boss has a short fuse for using this conservative site for selling socialists in general and Romney in particular.

Of course, they too had their litany of self-”justified” reasons why Romney was suppose to float their boat.
