They know the precautions - they don’t have the equipment.
They don’t even have gloves, let alone other one-time use supplies, masks, isolation gowns, negative-pressure rooms.
Do they even have bleach? Carbolic acid?
I think many people have no understanding of how “messy” this disease is. It is difficult to care for someone and NOT be exposed.
The amount of liquids splashing out of these bodies was so horrible during one breakout, they just sealed the room instead of trying to clean it up.
But do they really have the training? I have no actual knowledge of the situation, but I just wonder what sort of training nurses in these primitive countries have.
And I am truly baffled by the references that I have seen to death rituals that involve touching the bodies. Guess I’ll have to ask DuckDuck for info.
