In the Democratic primary, there was never any doubt Charlie Crist was going to beat former state senator Nan Rich. The next campaign against Gov. Rick Scott will be a tight race.

I hope it isn't that tight. Crist is a fraud. With a capital F.

That Crist has a remote chance at all in FL illustrates the extent of the Leftist invasion of this once conservative state. Only rabid progs could vote for that demagogue.

Will there even be a debate between the two?
To: SoFloFreeper
Consider the source of the article. Although I live in NE Fla. (a more conservitive part of the state) I know no one who is voting for crist, he has a worse reputation here than the media is letting on. The atack ads he is running against Gov. Scott are laughable, a couple of them attempt to dredge up issues from 1995. lol
But, we’ll see.

That Crist has a remote chance at all in FL illustrates the extent of the Leftist invasion of this once conservative state. It's not just one state. It's everywhere. The first FR article I read today was about the 75-year-old Republican judge who was raving about the wonders of same-sex marriage. This country is OVER.

Yeah, same here...live in NE Florida and Crist is not even close here. Looking at the dem turnout yesterday in the primaries, the gop turned out 100K more votes than did the dems and the actual dem candidate was a true dem and Scott was virtually unopposed.
Crist has the big lawyer money behind him though so he does have that going for him. Scott has wobbled on a few right issues but the overall consensus is he has been good for the state after Crist led it to destruction. I hope the voters turn that light in the loafers tanned chameleon back to the law firm he is supported by.

Well here’s a little factoid for you......
of the 82,000 votes cast in Brevard County yesterday.....
ELEVEN THOUSAND DID NOT VOTE FOR GOVERNOR......PERIOD!
Maybe it’s time Rick Scott walks back his decision to give in- state tuition to ILLEGALS!
And yes, I think Charlie Crist is a chump.....
But a LOT of Floridians don’t like turncoats either.
To: Jacquerie
Leftist invasion plus a large number of squishy moderates who for some reason can’t see through Crist’ phoniness.
To: V_TWIN
The Scott Rothstein ads are particularly damaging but it just goes to show, DemonRATS will rally around their guy - even when a convicted Ponzi schemer has offered testimony against him.

The liberals I know plan to vote for him. They don’t care about anything he’s done or what he is.

I think he’s planning on taking the state with the liberals in Miami and St Pete/Tampa. I’d wager you folks up in the NE won’t see him much.

Yep, I have believed election fraud has been way worse than we really know for a long time.

The headline says: “TOUGH tossup.” What does that even mean?
To: SoFloFreeper
The media have been relentless in attacking Scott. They couldn't possibly be more rabid in their opposition. Now Orange Charlie is telling everyone he
always supported the democrats. You have to be pretty stupid not to see through Charlie, but his success is a testament to the stupidity of so many here in the sunshine state.
Without the media, Scott would win in a walk.

it is zombie democrats.
There is a class of democrat who think this present day homosexual/communist/tax-and-spend Democrats are the same ones from 1930.
They would vote for Stalin if he ran as a democrat.
Couple that with the FREE STUFF zombie voters and you have a built in based to start.
The good news is florida is not a bastion of “god’s waiting room” democrats it used to be. Businesses more to FL for the low taxes and constitutionally prohibited absence of a state income tax.
