I don’t have a big problem with background checks within reason. There is something to be said for “gun control” if/when unstable individuals are involved. Not sure how my opinion comports with that of Mr. Gates, but I sure as h want the citizens of this country to be able to defend their lives and property from enemies both foreign and domestic and do so without infringement.

Expanding backgrounds checks is nothing more than eliminating private sales of firearms and is a step towards registration of all firearms. Next comes the exclusion list. “Oh, you can’t have a firearm because you’re a veteran. You might have PTSD. Oh, you can’t have a firearm....you’re taking a prescription drug that might affect your mental state. Oh, you can’t have a firearm....you’re a supporter of the TEA Party.” Then comes confiscation.

Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Michelle Obama, Michael Bloomberg....they’re all cut from the same cloth. Liberal nanny state control freaks who think that their money and power give them the right to tell the rest of us how to live and to take away our rights and liberties. ‘eff ‘em.
