Romney on 2016 Run: ‘Circumstances Can Change’ [Don't ZOT the messenger!]

Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has denied he’s not going to make a third bid for the White House but on Tuesday he left open a very small window.

“I know you’re going to press, but you know, this is something we gave a lot of thought to when early on I decided we’re not going to be running this time,” Romney said in an interview with Hugh Hewitt. “And again, we said look, I had the chance of running. I didn’t win. Someone else has a better chance than I do. And that’s what we believe, and that’s why I’m not running. And you know, circumstances can change, but I’m just not going to let my head go there.” .... (italics & blue mine)

Romney’s former running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) recently said he hopes Romney will run again.

You are politically naive if you think you can get conservatives to vote for your liberal republican candidates.

No third party may win, but the liberal republican party won't either.

Want my vote? Run a conservative. Otherwise pound sand.

I'm not a republican. I'm a conservative.

Romney doesn't lean liberal, he IS liberal. Same with Krispy.

No sale, establishment republican.

You establishment republicans tried this fear-mongering tactic last election. How did that work out for you?

Groundhog Day.

We ended up with Obama. How did that work out for you?

I'd say you liberal establishment republicans screwed up.

One liberal politician pushing the liberal agenda is pretty much the same as any other liberal politician pushing the liberal agenda.

I hope any liberal republican candidate loses and the republicans see the light and move back to conservatism.

Right now, forget it.

You will lose. And take the country down with you. Your fault for running and supporting liberal republicans.

You can hurl as many insults as you like; however, if you don’t vote for the Pub, it is the same as voting for the Dem. I reiterate, it is as simple as that. You know it too, don’t you. You’ll never admit it, but you know it. You are more the liberal than I will ever be, as you will be voting for the Dem by not voting for the Pub. And we will end up with the Dem, an outcome it appears you prefer. It’s as simple as that.

I know.

It's ok. I'm intransigent. I can't be cajoled, threatened or scared into voting for a liberal republican. They'll just lose again.

Logic isn't your strong suit is it?

I don't vote for liberals, republican or democrat.

I don't want liberals to win, ever.

Whatever the outcome, you get a liberal, and that seems to be what you want.

You prove that by nominating and supporting liberal candidates.

I won't vote for your liberal republican candidate. Period. Ever. Never have, never will.

Take your fearmongering and find something painful and creative to do with it.

If he runs again, he’ll get stomped again. Anyone can beat him in the general.

"When George inherited the governorship of Michigan, it was in financial crisis, as is California is today. He had turned AMC that went from losing millions of dollars to turning a profit of $60 million."

Great, but if you think a country can be successful through good fiscal policy alone, you're mistaken.

"People close to Mr. Romney say they have no doubt that he opposes terminating a pregnancy."

Those people couldn't be very close to him, or they would know that he and his wife personally raised money for Planned Parenthood. The Romneys were directly complicit in terminating pregnancies.

" Mitt Romney was governor in a state whose politics did not match his own."

No? Then why did he continue his support of queers once he left office? You didn't comment on his May 2012 remark, which I provided, that people of the same sex who "love each other" should be able to adopt children. It sounds like Romney's politics were right in line with those in Massachusetts.

" His convictions had “evolved and deepened” as governor and called for decisions about abortion to be left to the states [reversal of Roe v. Wade.]when the State Legislature sent him a bill to expand access to emergency contraception, he vetoed it."

Uh-huh. "Evolved and deepened." I put the above paragraph you posted into a search engine and it returned a NY Times article lauding Mitt. With just a change or two, you lifted it from the article. Apparently you're unable to defend him in your own words. I suspect you actually know very little about him.

"I believ Mitt has wisdom & can handle pressure... no other candidate except maybe Perry can IMHO."

Romney is a weakling and a milquetoast; he's a poodle, but the country needs a pit bull. He doesn't have the stomach to take it to the left, since he's basically one OF them. His contempt is reserved for conservatives. And no man who supports queer marriage/queer adoption can possibly have wisdom.

They just strengthen my resolve to politically destroy liberal republicans and their supporters.

All they do is stir a hornet's nest.

They damn sure don't gain any votes.

It’s time to stand up and stop voting for the lesser of two evils. If Cruz isn’t nominated, I’ll write him in or vote third party.

So far the gop pisses on conservatives

I’m 67 and not going to do that anymore.
Keep beating your head against the wall.

Time to make the GOP the third party

You can draw all the charts you want. Effectively, if you vote 3rd party in 2016 (that will never win) or you don’t vote at all, like the 3 million Whitey’s that didn’t vote last presidential election, then you have voted for the Dem. Regardless of anything you say as justification, that is the way it is. Very simple. Cute chart though.

How I vote in 2016 will be determined by who the GOP nominates. Meanwhile I’ll give money to Cruz. After the convention when a dem lite is nominated I will work and donate money to make the GOP the third party.

You can keep voting for bush or Romney until you snap out of your coma.

Gee, I’m 67 also, and I’m going to vote Pub, any Pub. Otherwise, as you well know, it will be President Hillary. Because I am not an idiot. And we lose Supreme Court Judges most likely also with another Dem as President. Now you can live in la la land, psychologically speaking. I refuse to join you there.

“You can keep voting for bush or Romney until you snap out of your coma.”

And you can keep voting for Dems, and President Hillary until you snap out of it. Because that is what you really will be doing, isn’t it. Some people can’t handle the truth of that which they do.
