The United States has begun reconnaissance flights over Syria and is sharing intelligence about jihadist deployments with Damascus through Iraqi and Russian channels, sources told AFP Tuesday.
"The cooperation has already begun and the United States is giving Damascus information via Baghdad and Moscow," one source close to the issue said on condition of anonymity.

Am I in the right country? Is this all a dream?

If any of us can figure out what is going with the what and why the administration is doing things in the middle east, then we have achieved something that the administration doesn’t know itself; other than to destroy the strength, reputation and dependability of the US on the world stage.
a) Weakens America/AmericansI have yet to have anyone raise a single substantive counter example in several years of posting this.
b) Distances America's allies
c) Strengthens America's enemies
d) Serves Islam
e) Harms Israel
Or some combination of the above.
OK I am totally confused. The US built terrorist training camps in Jordan and Iraq, trained terrorists to overthrow Assad, who in turned joined ISIS, who is now actually taking over 1/3 of Syria and 1/3 of Iraq, and now we are providing military intelligence to the guy (Assad) we were trying to kill so he can defeat the terrorists we trained and armed. Can someone get me a drink? I think I need a drink.
That doesn’t make sense to you? Well, don’t go for a job in foreign policy. With that attitude, you wouldn’t go far.
