Rubio Smashes Obama's Planned Executive Amnesty, Shifts From 'Comprehensive' Immigration Reform
Breitbart ^ | August 26, 2014 | MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 08/26/2014 2:00:01 PM PDT by maggief

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) partnered with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to pass a comprehensive immigration bill that would grant citizenship to millions of illegal aliens.

That was then – a little over a year ago. Today, in an interview with Breitbart News, the Florida Republican berated President Obama for considering unilateral amnesty, shifted cleanly against “comprehensive” reform, and said the U.S. shouldn't even debate citizenship for illegal aliens until the border is secure.

“I continue to believe our system needs to be reformed and I’ve learned in the last year that because of such an incredible distrust of the federal government no matter who’s in charge, the only way you’re going to be able to deal with this issue is by first securing the border and ensuring that illegal immigration is under control,” Rubio told me.

What Rubio means is that he doesn’t want Obama to get credit for the dirty deed, he wants credit.

...the U.S. shouldn't even debate citizenship for illegal aliens until the border is secure EVER.

There, fixed it for Rubio. Why in the world do we want to hand Democrats 30 million more voters?? Wow. Crazy.

Sorry, Rubio. I wouldn't vote for you if you were running for dogcatcher. If you think this will revive your chances for the presidency, you are mistaken.

I think they should be able to support themselves at 120% of what is poverty levels as is required by law.
Also, if they ever as a resident collect on the dole more than a few months in five years for themselves or their children, then revoke their residency and deport them.

Take away the carrot that is making them all come here, out welfare great society assistance programs for illegals and residents. Needs to go away.

That was then – a little over a year ago.

It took him over a year to realize the border's not secure? Not presidential material.

Who can forget the horror show of Schumer propping up Rubio to pass the Senate amnesty atrocity----which funded the blood-thirsty La Raza w/ $100 million per year til eternity.

AND absolved agents of foreign govts AKA as US latino lawmakers from US corruption laws.

Now glum-looking Rubio is on TV talks, desperately recanting----saying he’s "changed his mind about one-bill immigration reform."

Too late. He was once a presidential front-runner.

COULDNT HAPPEN TO A NICER GUY---Rubio's polling indicates he's a political dead duck.

Actually, it was Ted Cruz who took Rubio aside and showed him the folly of his consorting with Schumer.

The dems were planning to use Rubio to get their plan of amnesty through the senate, and then when it turned out to be a debacle, the dems could blame it on Rubio and the repubs.

I’m quite confident Ted Cruz stopped that plan.

Rubio the Rookie got pwned by Schumer the Snake. Found out it doesn't do his presidential ambitions any good. Now wants a mulligan.

Sorry, Marco. If you've got anything short of this to say:

you can go pound sand.

I’ve learned in the last year that because of such an incredible distrust of the federal government no matter who’s in charge,I should have listened to the ones that brought me to the dance, the only way you’re going to be able to deal with this issue I have any hope in hell of becoming president is by pretending that I want to secure the border and ensuring that illegal immigration is under control,” Rubio told me. "Damn those Tea Party insurgents!"

FIXED.
