“What’s thought to be an audio recording of the shooting death of Michael Brown has reportedly surfaced. “
Doesn’t fit the headline. But then probably neither does the story fit the idealogues’ needs
If this kid, rest his soul, was not dangerously high on PCP, it would amaze me, not that cops are always right, of course, and not that there aren’t other social problems
There will be a holder-led narrative so we will never know
You fire six shots at a guy charging you. You think that should be enough. He keeps coming. You unload four more rounds.
There, that was hard to figure out. Whew am I tired.
CNN’s crawl said they can not verify.
IOW the audio came from nbc’s audio editing room?
crump and parks are working overtime to salvage this fiasco.
“Forensic audio expert Paul Ginsberg analyzed the recording and said he detected at least 10 gunshots — a cluster of six, followed by four.”
Let me guess. Ginsberg was asked to opine on how many shots he might have heard on this recording, but was not asked if he knows for certain that it genuinely represents the Brown shooting incident, and if so, how.
Sounds like the recording do not have the first gunshot, from inside the car? Sex chat didn’t start until the exact second of the main shooting?
Doesn’t seem to me to be a ground breaking piece of evidence either way. Though it does seem to correlate with what the witness that was accidentally recorded said. His statement was “I think he missed him. Then the dude started running kept coming towards the police.” Brown probably ran towards Officer Wilson and the first volley of six were ineffective, hence the second volley of four.
As for the number shots fired, the authorities no doubt already knew that anyhow.
So even if this tape is legit, it shows the cop had a 60% accuracy rate, even with a serious injury.
Eric Holder is almost certainly familiar with this audio expert, if not downright chummy. Greenberg is the guy who determined that the Branch Davidians started themselves on fire in Waco, based on conversations he extracted and enhanced from audio the FBI was collecting from inside the compound. That analysis played a big role in shifting blame off the feds.
Did the audeo record the single gunshot inside the Tahoe?
This really points to the determination of Brown to get to Wilson and presumably kill him. A logical person getting hit with a bullet even once would turn away and/or run for cover. Brown was driven by pure rage. For him the fight or flight response was clearly to fight.
Let's say they somehow prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they were Officer Wilson's shots.
After being assaulted by Brown there was a struggle for his weapon which was turned on him and a shot fired in the vehicle almost striking him. Officer Wilson regains his weapon and fires 6 rounds at the fleeing Brown, missing him. Those shots being absolutely justified; fleeing, dangerous felon.
Brown then turns and charges the officer...the final 4 shots.
That's just one scenario.
I am so tired of hearing about these emotional to their radical pundits on CNN spew this because they want a specific outcome. Lie and spin, no problem. Why? They hate guns anyway. They don’t want to live with guns in our society. They want only the federals to have guns. And, we all know what that means. Just follow the liberals’ logic. It takes years for them to chip away at our freedoms.
They have no understanding of why officers react to different potential dangerous situations or any citizen. As an excuse, they use what they see or hear; i.e.. rapid or repeated gun shots and then a person is labeled as whacked, so they judge them as being guilty.
They are after this officer, not to find the truth. They want to get the mileage out of excessive force (as they believe) and more people to be against gun violence. They don’t care about blacks being killed. Look at the shootings in Chicago and Oakland. If someone will not stop, who has a right to say just fire one shot. Idiotic. ( It’s like a lot those comments on yahoo. Officer Wilson should have shot once or used spray to Brown’s eyes. Get a life to those people)
There have been accounts indicating that there was a struggle for Wilson’s gun. Who knows if those are accurate? But if there was a struggle for the gun, shots could have been randomly fired.
The audio, if proven authentic, would seem to prove nothing on its own. But it could corroborate eyewitness accounts.
Was there the sound of a round being discharged in the police car?
Now word is the recording is just a Howard Stern prank.
