My point about the first shot was to highlight a potential omission that potentially undermines the credibility of the recording (i.e., did the makers forget to cover that one or is there some other explanation.) Until this audio clip is established somehow as genuine and unedited (something I doubt), I do not think we can infer anything from it.

Watching Fox versus the other networks on this video is really something. Mark Fuhrman says the video, if real, helps out the cop. Says the cop had to give a statement and tell how many bullets he fired. If the cop’s story is 10 bullets, or eleven, he can always say he shot to stop the attacker, when he saw he was not neutralized, he gathered his thoughts for a couple of seconds and proceeded to fire his weapon until the attacker was neutralized, this time face down on the pavement. The other networks as usual are saying this proves the cop emptied his weapon into the “innocent unarmed teen” who was attempting to surrender. In otherwords the cop murdered him. It’s funny watching the different versions of what people think this audio means. Mark Fuhrman’s analysis is the most credible I’ve heard.

Not echoes.

Okay - thanks for that input... I admit being surprised at the rapidity of those initial shots.

‘Furhman’ and ‘credibility’ are two words that should never be in the same sentence.

With training & stress, one can fire quite rapidly. In one week-long handgun class I’ve taken, students start terrified of the final exam requirements as seeming impossibly fast, yet 6 days later they’re blazing thru it with ease - and faster still in subsequent classes.

Note too that Wilson missed nearly half his shots while firing that fast.

How many shots does his gun hold? How many are some “witnesses” and “experts” claiming? How many shells were found?
