I'd be wondering why Syria hasn't been turned into a sheet of glass by now if I didn't know that we have a leader who sides with the muslims when the wind blows a certain direction....

PAKISTANI “AID WORKER”...?

How much of a sucker are we...?

She was in on it —she put her blue passport to work.

This has SCAM written all over it.

Even a misguided Japanese once did this — they see it as ACTIVISM, and the risk to them is very low.

"The U.S. has a strict policy of not paying ransoms for hostages held by terrorist organizations, for fear that it may encourage further kidnappings of U.S. nationals."

Unless of course you are Obama and his administration, then you pay ransoms and release terrorists from prison because it will encourage further kidnapping of US nationals.

Humanitarian work? What was she doing?

Fair question. I'd like her home with he family too but, the fact that they won't release her identity makes me wonder.

I remember in 1968, just before going into the service, one of the hippies who graduated two, three years before me was Aeroevac’d from Cuba where she went to harvest sugar cane. She had been raped, sodomised, and beat damned near to death. Her hippy brother was disconsolate and I laughed in his face. Terrible thing for me to do, but I consider it one of the highlights of my life.
