'My reckoning is that six perpetrators have been prosecuted in recent times. 'That means there are many other perpetrators of these types of crime who have not been prosecuted, so there are many other perpetrators out there.

Six perps, 1400 victims, 20 years.

Let's see. That's 1400 / 20 / 6 = 11.66 each per year. Each of them would have to do only one a month on average.

I have no doubt there are many, many more perps. But the number of victims in and of itself does not mean those already convicted weren't capable of doing all this by themselves.

BTW, I keep reading about cops treating the victims with contempt. But I haven't seen any commentary on the ethnic heritage of the cops in question. Contempt for victims of sexual abuse seems much more likely to be a Muslim than a white English value.
