Well that’s what happens when you PO your base by shoving RINO’s down their throat, they will sit home just like they did in 2008 and 2012, don’t assume that they will rush out and vote for what ever turd sandwich you put in front of them just because they don’t like Obama, they won’t....

I think that in spite of themselves the Republicans take the Senate and expand seats in the House. The issue then for us is to go after people Like McConnell to let him know to stay right and pay attention or people like us will show up in his office for a serious reckoning.

Get over it. We obviously can’t break it down and build it up, so get the BEST CANDIDATE POSSIBLE whoever is closest to your ideal candidate and vote. At least until we can get rid of political correctness at least do this. If you have any great ideas, I’m listening.
The fallacy in the argument is that party-boss preferred candidates are ‘stronger’ candidates. They selected far more candidates in 2012 than the anti-establishment core of the party, and those candidates were decimated...they lost FL, VA, WI, NM, CA, and others. Their organization the NRSC has been an utter disaster the past two cycles (really the past four). They run uninspired and lackadaisical campaigns, while the Democrat party has found a formula to win statewide in key elections.
But, but my whiteboard says that the base offends the moderates and we need them to win elections and that democrats will turn out in droves to vote for us just like in Mississippi. It says so on my white board!!!
It's not surprising to me. The base (largely Tea Party and social conservatives) has been under attack from the party they are supposed to support. The GOPe has assumed that when push comes to shove these two groups will come out and vote for their candidates because they have no place to go. However, while many in these groups will do that some won't. Also, these two groups comprise a large % of the workers who go out and energize neighborhoods and they aren't volunteering like they use to.
As I explained when I was called and asked to help out again, "after the Pubs voted to exempt themselves and their staff from obamacare, but left it to be imposed on me I've decided to only support those that represent me."
Just sit down and take your medicine, I guess. The party doesn’t get to treat people like shit and then expect those same people to all turn out in November. That’s not how a successful party acts. In most cases, I am a believer in showing up in November regardless of who’s on the ballot, but the arrogance and naivete of the idiots in charge of this party have changed my view. They’ve crossed a line in word and deed in several states that would keep me at home or going 3rd party. I don’t have that situation where I am with no Senate race this year, but if they pulled something like Mississippi here, I’d find a way to be too busy in early November, too.
The GOP once again on the verge of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. We’ve seen this movie before. Their propensity for losing is only exceeded by their willingness to cave in and capitulate at the slightest sign of resistance. Its really a pathetic party that stands for nothing.
The GOP election machine is broke. They have failed to modernize and capitalize on the stunning failures of this administration.
It’s time for a total house cleaning within the GOP, they sttill are thinking that McCain and Dole are the future.
The GOP is a mess, no unified message, they continue to disparage conservatives and think being Dem Lite is the answer.

A great sentiment, but what leverage is there once he's elected.
I find it laughable that he's on the campaign trail saying how he will reign obama in through amendments to spending bills and shut the govt down if he has to. Where was he when the House Pubs did that?
This coming election, Americans still have one last chance to show the world what they’ve got for brains - gray cells or sh*t.
Personally, I’ve grown old and cynical and no longer expect much from the people but stink.
Any party that would tolerate the numerous leadership failures of John Boehner is in serious trouble. He is symptomatic of the deep rot in the party IMO.
1. We have to win control of the party.
2. To win control of the party the liberal apparatchiks in control have to be replaced.
3. To replace the liberals their supporters have to lose reelection.
Stop voting for those that don't represent us.
