Well W.W.II was a little more efficient. Not one piece at a time we did it to enemy civilians hundreds of pieces at a time. Carpet bombing. Sometimes the pieces were cinders. I recall the whole neighborhood cheering as the local radio station broadcast the sound of falling bombs; namely, Little Boy and Fat Man.

War is not the World Cup.

It was a generation of Americans who stubbornly held fast to the idea of winning a war.
