Yes, but it’s called income & payroll tax. And unlike OCare, it’s actually cheaper and easier to administer.
Whataburger could teach them all how to mak.e burgers
Looked up the ‘esteemed’ Senator Brown in Wiki, imagine my surprise at what I found. BA from Yale in Russian Studies, dual Masters in Arts and in Public Administration from Ohio State. Other than 2 years teaching at a branch of OSU, he has been state and Federal government since 1974.
So his experience in the private sector = $0, experience in payroll = $0, experience in paying into the tax system (net) = $0. So shall we say that he and his electorate are ZEROS?
Should also motivate you to move your savings to a Canadian bank.
I already boycotted Burger King because of gay burgers, but I applaud their good sense to get out of paying oppressive taxes for the privilege of running a business and employing people.
Ha! I was in that Clifton Hill Burger King yesterday!
Depends on the province. Here in Ontario, a big chunk of it comes from an employer payroll tax, 5% of gross IIRC. The rest comes from general revenues.
We had a serious problem with MD shortages about ten years ago because of government micromanagement. Some genius decided that the way to cut costs was to cut the number of med school admissions, then was shocked to discover a decade later that there was nobody to replace the docs who were retiring. We’re starting to catch up but we still have a long way to go.
I suspect OCare will alleviate a lot of our shortages as US doctors start moving here.
Guess I’ll be visiting the home of the whopper soon. Mmmmm flame broiled economic patriotism
“Starving the Beast”

Best fast food burgers around IMHO...
That is real smart for Demoncrats to push for a boycott and put the very people they claim to represent out of work. Of course then they will clammer for more unemployment benefits. Viscous circle.
Boycott dems.

“Canada now a tax haven”
Yeah, that is bizarro world.
I never knew where Burger King was located when I went there and don’t really care now that I do know.
Sherrod Brown....stopped reading right there.
This Buckeye would love to kick him to the curb.
