Several common sense rules violated here.
Nothing good happens after midnight.
Avoid angry crowds regardless of skin color, but especially if you stand out as a target.
Take good advice when given.
Just like the beating victims at the McDonald’s in College Station, Texas. two white couples pulled into McD after midnight to a crowd of over 40 blacks. Time to keep going, instead they naively got out to go inside.
You know, there is no substitute for common sense.
When I’m out, I’ve always got my radar on, I don’t care what time it is.
There are times when I’m driving home and I notice a car that seems to have been there for a while. I’ll drive by my block and make a few turns to see if they stay on my tail. Doesn’t happen very often, but it’s worth the effort.
One time it could save you a lot of grief.
They did take the advice. They left the Waffle House and went to a place with a nearly empty parking lot. They were FOLLOWED by a crowd of 20 thugs....
If I am interpreting the article correctly, the two men left the first place they went to(a Waffle House)following the threats and a confrontation. They were apparently then followed to another restaurant (a Huddle House) where one of them was attacked and injured.
It appears they did try to avoid the angry crowd, but the angry crowd targeted and followed them.
Don’t go where Angels fear to tread.
