The father of an 18-year-old black man whose fatal shooting by a white police officer earlier this month led to several days of occasionally violent protests in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Mo. pleaded Sunday for a "day of silence" when he buries his son Monday.
"Tomorrow all I want is peace while my son is being laid to rest," Michael Brown Sr. told hundreds of people in St. Louis' largest city park during brief remarks at a festival that promotes peace over violence. "That's all I ask. And thank you."

For all the shooting his mouth off he’s been doing in the media, I wonder how much this daddy was actually in his son’s life - if ever.
Mr. Brown, if this is all you wanted, why didn't you have an unannounced private funeral days ago? How do you expect peace inviting professional race hustlers?

The destruction of the family started about the same time as LBJ's "Great Society", and people I knew who had been striving to improve started going dead in the water. The whole Hippie thing, with an increase in drug use was hot on the heels of both and contributed as well, not just to the destruction of large parts of the black community but to the detriment of whites as well.
Everyone was had, played for suckers while trying to be "cool", but the people behind the scenes set black and white against each other and did not become the focus of the animus they should get even today for continuing the campaigns of social destruction--no matter what color your skin is--everyone has been affected.
Whitey is no longer on the moon and NASA is working on Islamic self-esteem. Does that help?
Has anyone managed to interview the store clerk that the “gentle giant” threw around like a rag doll just minutes before his death? Anyone know if he’s been invited to the funeral? Or is he in hiding,fearing for his life?
I find it quite the coincidence that Daddy was right there on the scene when this all took place. Was the son stealing for his father?

Why was Michael Brown living with his grandmother instead of his mother and father??? Broken family as is standaard in most of America’s African-American communities??? Same gig as in the Trayvon Martin family!!! Broken families and lack of parental leadership can lead to thuggery!!! Ya think???

The narrative of the innocent victim doesn’t take root unless the victim is actually innocent. Why is it when the race hustlers show up the so called victim is shown to be a thief, a bully and a thug.....do you suppose they can’t actually find a real innocent victim!!!
Grandma said he was living with her so he could attend a nearby college. I have no idea who raised him. The parents have been all spiffed up for media purposes.

The funeral certainly came up fast. I figured they were going to do a few more autopsy’s until tehy got hte results they wanted. Brown did weigh 290ish, I am guessing he is down to about 230 now.
Will there be a memorial riot after the services?

Why of course AND a memorial bum rushing.
I felt really bad for the clerk (who may actually have been the owner or franchisee). He was a tiny, elderly guy, probably Pakistani, and afterwards he said that this has happened to him before but he never files a complaint because the thugs will know that he complained and attack him even harder and the police can’t protect him.
Is that your way (or his way) of saying that in Fergeson "snitches get stitches"? Yah,I can believe that.
