In a Friday op-ed which appeared in the paper's international print edition on Saturday and which can reasonably be seen as giving voice to an editorial board which wouldn't dare put their name to it, La Salle University Political Science Professor Michael Boyle strenuously objected to recent characterizations of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
We can't call ISIS "evil." We also shouldn't call them a "cancer," or "savage," or "barbaric." Oh, and the fact that George W. Bush called Al Qaeda "evildoers" is why ISIS came to be, and why our problems with radical Islam are now worse.
It will tug at mine, because those who are destroyed are not uniformly supporters of treason. They are lied to, and many are too busy and unsuspecting that Obama is truly selling them out. I know we think they should know better, but they are being lied to constantly by the MSM. If that’s where you get your news, you don’t really know. Some decent busy people don’t. Even if they suspect it’s bad, they aren’t being provided the information to know how really bad it is.
Nobody deserves to die in a mass murder event.
ISIS is “reverse French” for “SISI”

Michael Boyle is making the same mistake that Neville Chamberlain made as Prime Minister of Britain. There is no appeasing of evil.

It must be driving these loopey lefties nuts. They want to love ISIS because they hate America. They want to stand with them as an expression of People Power and “sticking it to the man”. They want to join their revolution and stand up for the rights of an oppressed cultural group and people of color. They fit all their classic groups that they love to support and yet they really are murdering, raping, butchering scum of the earth and they don’t care about hiding it! The only problem they see with ISIS is they don’t have a good media relations unit!
I’m surprised these leftie Professors haven’t been jumping out of basement windows as an interpretive demonstration of a suicidal solidarity with these animals!
It’s a moral hazard to call Michael Boyle a professor.
This man “teaches” at a Catholic college. The fact that ISIS is murdering Christian people and destroying their churches and culture is not “evil” to him. There was a time when such amoral ambiguity would not be found at a Catholic institution.
He’s a book homo.
ISIS is slitting the throats of non-muslims and sexually assaulting the females, yet, the New York Slimes can’t seem to call them a bad name. Sounds like the NYS is in on the evil.

The professor is stupid.
He used the word evil, confirming his acknowledgment that it exists as a word.
But then he tries to say we can’t match the word up with its meaning. He might as well go to the DMV to get his personal registration renewal for the word stupid.
Progressives don’t like judgement calls, they believe that everything is relative , including the truth. One culture is as good as another.
Therefore they do not believe in any Biblical morality code or standard.heck, they don’t even believe In God. What they do believe in is the State and they are the State, so, they believe in themselves.
