I think the Times-Picayune headline is a bit more descriptive:
“Mississippi man beaten after he’s warned restaurant wasn’t safe for whites, witness says”
Apparently Memphis Commercial Appeal didn’t think it was worth reporting.
Interesting that one of the two white guys had a gun and showed police his carry permit. Nothing more was mentioned about the gun plus there was no indication the guy carrying intended to use it or DID use.
