"So this is a planning document for six to nine months that we will certainly revisit when we have new developments." Oh, that just does NOT sound good at all.

WHO admits 6, 9, who knows how many more months before end. Of this current outbreak.

Eeeee-bolllll-aaaaaa ping! Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...

The DH”S” has practiced with tuberculosis.
The EXEMPT in Congress have encouraged the entry
of Eboli, tuberculosis, incurable disease and
terrorists. Encouraged, condoned, and ignored.

A concern that no one talks about is why have doctors who are considered to be some of the biggest experts in Ebola contracted the disease and died? They surely must have been aware of the contact with bodily fluids and prepared for that. So how is it that these health care workers contracted the disease including our Dr. Brantly? Is there something different about this outbreak ?

DING DING DING!
That’s the question nobody is asking.
Has it mutated (as the virus did among monkeys in the HOT ZONE detailed account) to go airborne?
If so, what are the death projects on that?

This has been discussed on the
PANDEMIC FLU INFORMATION FORUM (over 98 pages of posts) and here on the
Ebola Surveillance Thread
This is Ebola but the virus has mutated. They call it the New Ebola virus.

"WHO is working on an Ebola road map document, it's really an operational document how to fight Ebola," With another week to finish the draft, two weeks for intergovernmental feedback, two weeks to resolve disagreements over the wording, and a week for final approval by the signatories; I feel pretty good about our chances to start fighting ebola before October or early November at the latest.

All those enviromentalists can breathe a sigh of relief
cause the world population is going to be a lot smaller
in just a year or two.
Should be interesting when this hits the Islamic centers
too.

You don't say. Given that the spread is still accelerating, that's probably a pretty good assumption. We are just 90 days from having 200,000 infected with the current rate of spread.

Who are you rooting for in the SuperEbola?
I am sure there is score-keeping going on somewhere.

For prospective totalitarians, Ebola is a gift from great nyarlathotep.
(Since they don’t believe in God.)
It will be interesting to see who does or doesn’t do what in the coming months.
Welcome to the start of the modern black death.

I was thinking of the Liberian theft from the ebola quarantine area... but yes they certainly are paralleling the smallpox blanket story aren’t they..
