Unlike the Taliban & even AQ, IS is spread much more widely across the muslim SUNNI world & the globe in fact. Approx. 85% of muslim population is Sunni. Iraq, Syria & the Lebanon surprisingly hold IS concentration in numbers & those who have active combat experience. But the problem is essentially global. At least in those IS concentrated areas for now we need to ‘nip it in the bud’ as they say. But equally ensure it doesn’t raise its ugly head or regroup elsewhere, especially under a different name or umbrella.
