Our daughter and SIL live in Wichita KA and they have had an usually warm summer too. I am ready for autumn to get here.

We are approaching the 238th anniversary of the Battle for Long Island. My first cousin 6 times removed was killed on August 27, 1776 in the battle. Lots of people have given their lives in what they believed in. We the living salute the dead for their sacrifice.
