The White House suggested Friday that President Barack Obama was trying to work out his tensions when he played 18 holes of golf on Wednesday – complete with grins and fist-bumps – immediately after delivering a brief but moving speech condemning the gruesome execution of American photojournalist James Foley.
'Sports and leisure activities are a good way for release and clearing of the mind for a lot of us,' Deputy White House Press Secretary Eric Schultz told reporters in a makeshift briefing room on Martha's Vineyard, where Obama is on a two-week vacation.
But 'I am not going to get into the president's mindset on that,' he added.

He could try some of the therapy offered by ISIS. Much quicker for clearing the mind. Just wow are they insensitive.

He’s probably a crappier golfer than he is a basketball player - and that is pretty bad. You know he resents that while in high school, as the only black guy on the team, not only wasn’t he a starter, he wasn’t even third off the bench. I remember back in the early days when the golf bug bit him, there were videos of him repeatedly chunking everything off of the practice tee. If things had improved, the courtiers wouldn’t have to keep hiding his play from the view of cameras.
We need golf courses in all the military theaters of operations so our soldiers can clear their minds in between mortar attacks.
