I wouldn't be opposed to this if they reenacted both sides of the events. I suspect the school system is upset because it was a shooting and violated the "no tolerance" on guns overkill.
If the students had the right to chose and weren't given a short list, then the question becomes, was the question designed to get them to react the shootings. Or were other choices readily available.

What if the problem the school has here was that the reenactments were proving the innocence of the shooters in these cases?
The question is, was the teacher giving accurate information to the students for them to work with? Because it’s really unlikely that she’d be fired for toeing the enemedia’s line of lies.
