NATO Secretary General condemns entry of Russian convoy into Ukraine

I condemn the entry of a Russian so-called humanitarian convoy into Ukrainian territory without the consent of the Ukrainian authorities and without any involvement of the International Committee of the Red Cross. This is a blatant breach of Russia’s international commitments, including those made recently in Berlin and Geneva, and a further violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty by Russia. It can only deepen the crisis in the region, which Russia itself has created and has continued to fuel. The disregard of international humanitarian principles raises further questions about whether the true purpose of the aid convoy is to support civilians or to resupply armed separatists.

These developments are even more worrying as they coincide with a major escalation in Russian military involvement in Eastern Ukraine since mid-August, including the use of Russian forces. In addition, Russian artillery support – both cross-border and from within Ukraine – is being employed against the Ukrainian armed forces. We have also seen transfers of large quantities of advanced weapons, including tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and artillery to separatist groups in Eastern Ukraine. Moreover, NATO is observing an alarming build-up of Russian ground and air forces in the vicinity of Ukraine.

Instead of de-escalating the situation, Russia continues to escalate it, despite the efforts of the international community to find a political solution to the crisis. This can only lead to Russia’s further isolation. I strongly urge Russia not to take further provocative actions, to stop destabilising Ukraine and to take genuine steps to resolve this dangerous situation with full respect of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and international law.

Putin and Russia are committing war crimes. They should ultimately be prosecuted and punished for using the International Red Cross as a shield for conducting a military invasion of the Ukraine in grave violations of international law.

“NATO Secretary General condemns entry of Russian convoy into Ukraine”

If you get their names you can turn them in to Odumbo and he will sanction them...it’s kind of like a time out, only without any real meaning and nothing ever changes...but...you know, somewhere, some liberal will feel all warm and fuzzy, kind of like pissing you pants in a blizzard.

"I condemn the entry of a Russian so-called humanitarian convoy..."

French FM described humanitarian situation being disastrous and in immediate need for help in food.

NATO calls it "so-called humaniatarian convoy" even when it contains 2000 tonnes food and water. There is a reason for it - feeding starving people is against NATO's objective to starve the citizens of Donetsk and Lugansk to death.

In the sick mind of NATO strategists food provided to starving people is weapon.

Take your lies with you into Hell. We saw the photographs of the Russian army trucks sprayed white in Winter camouflage paint with the trailers practically empty. There was barely one or a few pallets in each truck examined, just enough to serve as a fake excuse for a Trojan Horse convoy delivering fighters driving the trucks and perhaps some food and ammunition hid among the token samples of food. Who is the food for, the civilians or Russia’s terrorist mercenaries invading the Ukraine?

Meanwhile, Russia’s terrorist mercenaries are denying the Ukrainian humanitarian aid trucks the access necessary for the Red Cross to deliver humanitarian aid in real trucks filled to overflowing with real food and water for the civilians. Also, reports say Russia’s terrorist mercenaries have just succeeded in kidnapping and murdering the Lithuanian honorary consul. If that is the kind of ‘humanitarian aid” to be expected from Russia, then Russia needs to be liquidated until such time as it can produce a non-criminal government for once in its bloody and cruel history.

Using 10 mile long convoy to deliver seveal hundred fighters masquerading as truck drivers. that's a good one. Perhaps trucks will drive back on their own or fly back.

Occam's razor and basic logic need not apply when defending Kiev view.

The Russians permitted the Ukrainian customs officers and/or the ICRC to inspect only about 3 dozen of the trucks the Russians wanted them to inspect. The Russians allowed none of the other dozens of these Trojan Horse trucks to be inspected, so they could have been transporting anything from mercenaries to weapons to ammunition. There is nothing to stop the Russians from using the truck drivers as fresh reinforcements to be left behind to fight as wounded Russian soldiers and Russian mercenaries, some being wounded, are evacuated with some of them serving s the replacement drivers for the military trucks camouflaged in Winter paint as humanitarian aid trucks. There is also nothing to prevent the Russian mercenaries and soldiers from using any actual food and water in the Russian military trucks to supply their mercenaries with most of the goods while leaving the civilians to do without more than a token sample of them. So, take your fake propaganda home to mother Russia where they are stupid enough and gullible enough to accept it without question.
