Get a grip! Why do you have zero faith in American resilience and the large percentage that will do everything necessary to protect the gift of liberty the Founding Fathers gave us with their blood and treasure?
It is not that I have zero faith in the American people, I have 10% faith in those Americans who are armed. Ask your average high school grad to name 3 of the Founding Fathers, you will be unpleasantly surprised to learn that most can not do so. Ask when the Civil War was fought. Ask the same about who our enemies were during WWII.
Just ask a random number of people what they think about guns or gun control, a lot will tell you they are afraid of guns. We have become a foolish people.
Our rights and our liberty are given by God, not any government or even the Founding Fathers. They put them on paper and described them as coming from God or our Creator. Jefferson advocated a revolution every 20 years, we are 130 years behind.
The sky is not falling, our Republican form of government is. As I said I hope you are right and behind every blade of grass a determined man or woman with a rifle waits, my concern is that we are not any longer educated enough to know what the WWII generation did, that evil must be stopped no matter the cost.
