Speaking at a town hall meeting in Arizona, Republican Sen. John McCain, who has advocated for strikes against ISIS in Syria, said the extremists were "an enemy that must be defeated. Not stopped, but defeated."

"It is a cancer which has spread throughout that region and can spread into Europe and into the United States of America," McCain said, according to CNN affiliate KGUN. His phrase echoed the term President Barack Obama used Wednesday to describe the terrorist group

Because it iintentional from my POV. s that bad. It has been engineered, by many heads of state. It is starting to look

I understand islam. The core of islam is death. islam respects death, puts it on a pedestal. I believe many more muslims will flock to ISIS because of this. I believe this is the beginnings of a growing evil that if not stopped will unite muslim countries into following their actions. History has a way of repeating itself. The modern world is not a place that can be at peace when such threats to our way of life exist.

Be it complacency, incompetence, or design. ISIS must be stopped. I don’t want to wake up tomorrow with a mushroom cloud over one or more major western cities. One of their stated goals is to reach Pakistan and take the nukes. What are muslim countries doing to stop it? Nothing. Because if ISIS proves itself capable, they will follow.

"This is beyond anything we have seen, and we must prepare for everything Hagel said."

How can you? You've dismembered our military, and now you want to take a cold steely eye and get prepared?

Fear is the tool ISIS is trying to spread, instead there needs to be a few ISIS executions on video.

The Clown Prince nobama administration has many moozlums in Homeland Security, CIA, TSA and Foreign Policy positions. What do each of them think about their moozlum brothers, ISIS? Will they all get hung for being traitors when the United States experiences this feared attack? There definitely is a growing enemy within.

Don’t expect terrorists/freedom fighters to stick to their “principles” because they have none.

So Obama says that an organization called the Islamic State speaks for no religion, although thousands (if not tens of thousands) of Islam men leave their countries to join its army in the Middle East for the purpose of spreading Islam.

Yet, he also believes that America is one of the largest Islamic Countries (although it has about 1% population) and that Muslims helped build the very fabric of our nation, although there was no mosque until the mid 1900’s.

So was Al-Qaeda at the time.
Threats are not going to be any nicer in the future.
Fanatics will always be fanatics and we keep underestimating them.
The Military should always be prepared for new enemies, each time better equipped than yesterday.

We are on the verge of a world war with Islamic radicals and western civilization will hang in the balance. Like the US in the 1930s, the looming threat of the Nazis and Japanese fascists was ignored while isolationism and military disarmament left us unprepared for the war to come. We have already had our “Pearl Harbor” attack on September 11, 2001, but failed to crush the enemy when we had the chance. Now Obama golfs and exudes weakness while our enemies gather for another even bigger strike at the US homeland. This world war will be worse than the last and will likely quickly go nuclear. While we still have the power to crush Islamic radicalism once and for all we totally lack the will and because of Obama soon will lack the power.

The other day I posted my opinion that an all out day and night air assault on the region, just like we did in WWII on Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg, Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki regardless of collateral damage will destroy their military and civil support. I restate it with emphasis added.

The Middle East is confusing.

A piece by General Allen yesterday said that elements of Syrian rebels, Kurds and Sunnis should be used under a unified command to defeat the Islamic State (the IS ir ISIS).

“The Kurds, the Sunnis and the Free Syrian resistance elements of the region are the “boots on the ground” necessary to the success of this campaign, and the attack on IS must comprehensively orchestrate these diverse forces across the entire region. “

http://www.defenseone.com/ideas/2014/08/gen-allen-destroy-islamic-state-now/92012/

Hamas is ISIS and vice versa according to Israel’s Netanyahu.

Hezbollah, Assad in Syria and Iran are tied together. Iran is Shi’ite and ISIS executes Shia and releases Sunni.

So only those with detailed knowledge of the various tribal elements such as General Allen can sort out a plan to defeat the IS.

McCain should be fully informed but he is a shill for other interests that conservatives are opposed to. Conservatives are in a bad position here. As Kurds and others achieve some roll back of ISIS, Obama gets credit and democrats get a boost in November as the party that best manages the region. On the other hand if ISIS gains more traction, Obama can’t blame the situation on GW Bush and the republicans any longer but then ISIS can solidify and win long term gains.

Even if republicans take the Senate and hold the House, ISIS expansion continues. And the republican leadership that controls the House and Senate are bought and paid for by the same oligarchs that bought and paid for the democrats. So conservatives are left out in the cold.

If Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin or someone similar takes the White House in 2016, and tea party conservatives gain leadership of the House and Senate, ISIS will be established and only full scale war designed to destroy them will work.

I'm slightly more optimistic about that -- barring any major terror event here, I don't think the 'Rat base cares one whit about foreign policy. If anything, they view anything that could be construed as an American success as a net negative.

All the 'Rat base cares about at this point is their free $h!t.

So, why doesn’t Obama try some of his “Soft Diplomacy” BS, and use some Muzzie Outreach to get ISIS to love us, and understand us better???

Obama could invite ISIS to the White House for a Beer Summit, or a Drum Circle, or something.
