According to legend, the severity of the upcoming winter can be judged by examining the pattern of brown and black stripes on woolly bear caterpillars

very mild summer here in Indiana, cool nights that keep the swimming pool water chilly.

Next week will be the hottest of the year — some days in mid-90’s. This Global warming is tough I tell ya.

As average temperatures drop around the world and winters get colder and longer we will see liberals tie themselves into ever more complex knots to explain how man-made Global Warming is responsible.

Ii would be funny if their insanity wasn’t so damaging and costly.

They mentioned the winter of ‘63-’64 there. I have heard anecdotally that that winter was one of the more severe in the UK.

Pretty pointless to try and draw any longer-term conclusions from this cool spell, which has only been going on for a week. The summer as a whole here in the UK has been warmer than average (though not exceptional), with a particularly hot July.
