ST. LOUIS — It didn’t take long for the lyrics to begin flowing from this city’s hip-hop scene to the streets.

In the past 11 days, several tracks referencing the death of Michael Brown have surfaced, a spontaneous, organic and visceral reflection of what has been happening in Ferguson, Mo., since the 18-year-old African American was shot by a white police officer. The music — at least 10 songs, almost one a day — covers a range of emotions: anger and outrage, sadness and grief, and outright rebellion

Oh stop the insanity good Lord

The “black President” was supposed to be the cure-all, remember that?

You got that and the rest of us suffered and yet you still bitch and moan like the children you are.

“Artists” my backside. “Hip Hop” What a load of crap. Grow up.

Urban black culture celebrates thuggery ... and people wonder why urban black culture is mired in dependency and squalor.

Is the headline admitting that hip hop is pain?

Seriously, most of the stuff I read in these major US news publications remind me of the stories my high school paper used to run - background stories on homecoming queen finalists, essays parsing lyrics to a currently popular song, etc.

Useless crap.

Speaking of the cop’s injuries, I sure wish the media would show us some pictures. There is an incredible lack of balance in the stories being reported.

Whether this was a justifiable police shooting has yet to be determined by the ongoing investigation.

But in the court of public opinion, the liberals are going with the racism meme, and without evidence to the contrary such as evidence of the cop’s injuries, they may well win in the court of public opinion.

Rap is full of lyrics about violence to cops, violence to women, violence in general. We learned that Michael Brown was an aspiring rapper, as if that somehow gives us a positive view of the character of this young man.

“Yo - if you shove a cop in his car
And then punch his head

And try to steal his gun
You gonna end up dead

The looting will start up mighty fast
All them big screen TVs will be “free at last”.

Of course to naive liberal whites, they think aspiring rappers are all like Run DMC.
