Billionaires silent after big splash (Amnesty)
Politico ^ | 8/21/14 | ANNA PALMER

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, billionaire Michael Bloomberg and Citigroup exec Carlos Gutierrez gave immigration reform firepower last year, when they lent their money or names to the cause.

But roughly two months before Election Day, the three groups the business titans helped launch are all but silent on the campaign trail. None of the three have purchased airtime for ads on immigration reform this fall.

Their virtual absence comes as Senate Republican candidates in battleground states are launching attack ads against Democrats accusing them of supporting “amnesty,” leaving pro-immigration reform candidates even more vulnerable and immigration reform even less likely to happen.

Gutierrez’s group, Republicans for Immigration Reform, has no plans to launch a counteroffensive. Despite being billed as the GOP rainmaker on immigration reform, the group has struggled to make inroads with big GOP donors.

Could it be the billionaires are silent because King Putt said he’ll legalize millions with a wave of his scepter and it won’t cost their tight arses a penny?

They don’t have to place ads. Obama is about to give them what they want thru Executive Order. Obama met with the corporate elites when he interrupted his vacation to come to DC. You can expect an amnesty and increased guest worker program within a few weeks. The fix is in.

SHHH!

This was a losing issue for Democrats. Black voters were upset that Obama was looking to the Hispanics and neglecting their community.

Now he’s got Ferguson to distract them.

Either it will be part of the Labour Day weekend document dump or it will happened the day after the November congressional races.

In all honesty I would think that amnesty would be the last
thing businesses would want. The whole point of hiring
wetbacks is cheap labor. Once you make them legal then they
cost as much as any other citizen and you cant hold their
illegality over their head so they hire the next wave of
wetbacks and fire the amnestybacks.

It’s all about the votes and saturating the population
with more ignorant people because they know the wetbacks
are stupid enough to vote for the same type of politicians
that they ran away from in the first place.

It’s not just Mexicans - it’s Indians, Chinese, other Asians, other Latin Americans, Africans, Mid Easters, and Europeans - basically across the board but the big three are Mexico, India, and China.
