The cop will be indicted by the grand jury. They know if they no-bill him, the riots will be 10 times worse.If the chief had asked the DA to charge the officer as soon as things brewed up it may have prevented a bunch of rioting. Any real jury would have acquitted the officer.
The problem with this rout would be the jury. It would be a OJ in reverse jury. Or a real jury finding the officer not guilty would have started Rodney King riots.
