You have obviously never mixed it up with the IRS, or been accused of anything relating to the ‘war on drugs’. SOP is that they confiscate everything and you are hosed until you prove your innocence.
You have to have a seriously good, meat-eating lawyer with kids getting ready for college to slow any of that down.
