The tension between the Wahhabi clerics and the ‘royal’ House of Saud have been apparent for some time. Looks like ISIS (IS) Islamic State might be the last ghasp in an attempt by the fanatics to ‘follow the straight path of mohammad’ while the rest attempt to modernise.

That decapitation is not a pre-existing condition covered by obamacare is probably not going to be very helpful to his party. Otherwise, Foley probably would have been used as a prop in his next state of the union address.
